It was bound to happen

There isn't much that Tom hasn't done when it comes to helping with Aubrey, except bath her. For some reason he doesn't mind changing diapers but has never had the desire to bath her. Well since I am still sick and can't get that close to her he is on full daddy duty. I know I am supposed to be staying away but I had to take pictures of Aubrey's first bath from daddy.

Sweetest Little Thing

What is white on top,orange in the middle and yellow on bottom? Candy corn of course. That is what Aubrey is for Halloween. But you know us we did it with a little twist and a lot of frill. Had to be girlie candy corn after all. I had trouble getting a good picture because Aubrey LOVES her tutu skirt and just wants to play with it. But I'm not complaining, I couldn't be happier that she loves a tutu.

Let the festivities begin

We started our evening out with Aubrey opening her Halloween prizes. Which was shocking to me that she even got some because I don't remember us getting prizes for Halloween.

I wanted to post one more picture of Aubrey in her "Baby's first Halloween" outfit. After all tomorrow is the last day she can wear it. I am hoping that I am well enough for her to come home tomorrow so I can put her costume on her. I know she is looking forward to handing out candy to the other kids.

Just keep growing and growing and growing

Wohoo I just received a phone call announcing that Denise is going to be a grand maw. Wendy and Gustave are expecting a baby. Just when we thought we had enough babies in our family Wendy shows us we are wrong.Gustave comes from a family full of men we will see if they break the cycle of girls or keep it going. I am so excited!!!

Falling apart

Our family is just falling apart these days. Last Saturday Tom came down with the Flu. By Tuesday he was better but my throat was kinda hurting. I didn't pay much attention to it because I had an appointment that day to have 3 moles removed from my face. NOT FUN! Also the same day Josh had to get medicine for inter ear and sinus trouble. Yesterday my throat kept feeling worse and worse. By the time I got home from work I was getting on my own nerves from winning so much. I looked down my throat with a flash light and saw a lovely site. After a trip to the E.R I got my 7th shot of the week. (first 6 were in my face for moles)My little "sore throat" is strep throat. Except for Rylee being born on Monday and Charli Beth on her way as I type, this has been a bad week.

Rylee Clair Stapleton

On October 26 Paw Paw Sherman and Maw Maw Wilma got another great granddaughter. For those of you keeping track that is the 3rd one since July. Miss Rylee Clair Stapleton weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 13oz and was 21in long. As you can see she has a head full of hair and looks like the Stapleton's. I haven't got to see Rylee yet because we can't get well around our house. Here are some pics I got off of moma's camera.

Poor Tom Tom

Poor Tom, he officially has the flu. He is very sick. Running fever achy and just flat out feels bad. I have been pumping him with Vitamin C (Orange juice), alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen, and his Tamiflu . Also keeping a force field of Lysol around him. They also gave me a prescription for Tamiflu to help prevent me from getting it. Moma came and kidnapped Aubrey from me we are hoping she doesn't get sick. Pray that Tom gets well soon and that Aubrey and I don't catch it.

Thumbelina

Aubrey has really gotten into sucking her thumb at night. She puts it in her mouth and rubs her face with her other fingers. She also makes horrible noises when she does it. You can hear her all over the house sucking it.

Here are our little pumpkins. Tom's is a lion, Aubrey's is a zebra and mine is a monkey. Don't judge the art skills. That's as good as I could do.

It's the Great Pumkin Charlie Brown

Today was a big day for Aubrey, she made her first trip to the pumpkin patch. I guess it was a big day for me and Tom also because we had never been either. We picked 3 small pumpkins to decorate. I am working on them this evening. I will post pics as soon as I finish them.

Silly daddy

Tom has made a habit out of putting things on Aubrey's head. This week he put her pantyhose on her head.

Hello daddy

This picture is for Tom, who is at work. I knew when I put these jammies on her tonight that you would like them. So I took her picture that way you can see it from work. We love and miss you.

And she is out of it

Tonight may be a long night. Aubrey slept from 9:20 last night to 7:30 this morning and has also slept most of the day. I did everything I could think of other that sitting her outside to try to wake her up. She would not do it though.

Toys from Hadlie Jo

Hadlie Jo sent us some toys this week and one of them was her bumbo. We have one but I haven't got it out of the box yet because I was waiting until I got a tray to put on it. So I put her in Hadlie Jo's just to see if she would like it and she did. Anything that allows her to be sitting up she loves.

The bib says it all

We went to aunt Djuana's tonight to visit Rena and Ben. Emalee was also there and she just had to hold Aubrey. I thought Aubrey's bib was very appropriate for them. Ben probably disagrees with it.

Rachael discovered a new favorite snack at our house,"whip cream cheese". It was actually cream cheese but she kept saying can I have one more spoon of whip cream cheese.

Rachael wanted to type so she told me what she wanted to type and I told her how to spell them. She also wanted me to put it on the picture thing(the blog) so here it is.

Rachael comes to stay

Rachael is finally getting to spend the night with us. This is her first time stay here since Aubrey was born. We have had a busy evening we have cooked eggs,painted our finger nails and even learning a Hannah Montana dance. She also helped give Aubrey her bath.

Oh goodness daddy

Tom thought it was funny to put Aubrey's bloomers on her head today. I guess I did to since I felt the need to take her picture.

Belly Time

Tonight while Aubrey and I were playing in her room I decided to lay her on her belly for a little bit. I didn't think she would like it since she is just now learning that it is OK to lay on her back. She prefers to be held. It took her a minute to get use to it but she seemed to be OK with it.

HEY THOSE AREN'T MY FEET!

Olivia came over to our house for the first time last night, and of course I took her picture. I know you are thinking poor Lauren she must be going crazy, she has put her socks on her hands instead of her feet. Olivia is a fan of clawing her face to pieces and since little mittens won't stay on her she had to put socks on her hands. Just until she takes her pictures on Friday though. They are just the finest little girls. I think Aubrey looks like a big bear beside Olivia.

Its not Halloween yet

This was going to be Aubrey's Halloween costume but when I tried it on her I realized there was no way it would fit back over her head by then. So I took some pictures and put them away. Aren't my nurses cute.

Back in action

We finally have our computer fixed for good now. So there shouldn't be anymore long periods without baby updates.

On Monday Aubrey turned 3months old. She is growing so much and notices everything. She is smiling a lot and even giggled for Tom. She stares at her feet all the time and still can't figure out how to get them to her mouth so she gets mad at them. She also thinks she is big and wants to sit up all the time. I think we have a nosey little girl on our hands.
