Miss Ella Kate Greer

On Monday October 17th at 2:28pm our little family of three became a family of four when we welcomed our sweet baby girl Ella Kate into this world. She weighed 7 lbs 6oz and was 19 inches long. She has the roundest cheeks and looks a lot like her big sister.

Family waiting on Ella Kate to arrive

Big Sister Aubrey was sick that morning so she only got to stop by the hospital for a minute after her Dr appointment. She didn't get to see Ella Kate until the day we brought her home.

And here she is

Her very proud grandparents! MaMaw, PaPaw and MeMe(Tom's mom)

Mamaw Connie

Papaw Larry

Aunt Djuana even hung around to see baby Ella Kate

Paw Gary(tom's dad) stopped by the hospital on his way home from work

Auntie Tammy really wanted Ella Kate to be born on the 18th because that is her birthday, since she was a day early she stopped by on her birthday to hold her.

Good Morning!!

While we was in the hospital it turned very cold outside. I had planned on Ella Kate wearing home the same dress that me and Aubrey had wore home from the hospital but it was to cold. So she came home in some pink pj's that mamaw Connie had brought by.

Checking out!

Aubrey was so happy to see her sister when we got home. It was the sweetest thing when she saw her. She loves babies but this was so different, it was like she new this baby was different, this baby was her sister and she loved her already. She touched and identified her eyes, nose, mouth, hands, feet and checked her ears. When she saw she didn't have on earrings she went to the jewelry box to find her a pair.

Our first week home has been good. Moma stayed a few nights with us and got up with Ella Kate during the night so that I could rest. That was a huge help! Tom has also been off and getting lots of play time with Aubrey in. He goes back to work Sunday night, meaning I am on my own.(frown)

There have been lots of sweet moments with Aubrey and her sister and a few not so sweet moments while Aubrey learns that she has to be gentle and patient. But she is doing really good adjusting to sharing her mommy and daddy. She loves to hold and kiss on her sister. When she wakes up in the morning she says "find baby" and takes off looking for her. One morning both girls were laying in the big bed and I told Aubrey that I had to go cook breakfast for her to be sweet to the baby and she said "yes mam, I got it" and sat there and stared at her.

Aubrey likes to be very close to Ella Kate

Ella Kate loves the camera flash

Aubrey also introduced Ella Kate to all of her stuffed animals, she would bring them to her and tell her their names. Here she is with Donald and Mickey. She also tried to teach her how to give high five.

I was so excited to put an actual outfit on Ella Kate and it fit. Aubrey was about 2 1/2 months before anything would really fit her.

Pumpkin Time!!

I had my 37 week check up today and nothing had really changed. The bed rest worked so well that Ella Kate has decided she may just wait until Thanksgiving to get here. We do a sonogram next week to check her size, as for my size I managed to gain 2lbs in 1 week. I am pretty sure 1 of those lbs is in my nose.

I hope you enjoy seeing this shirt, it is 1 of 3 that now fit me

We had a big day planned for Aubrey, we was going the pumpkin patch after my Dr appointment. I was so excited to take her this year because I knew she would know what they were and be excited to play with them. When we got in the car I said do you want to go see the pumpkins and she yelled "YES PUNKINS", thankfully the drive from the Dr to the pumpkin patch is short because she yelled "see Punkins" the whole way there.

"look Punkins"

clapping for the pumpkins

Obviously didn't approve of the decorations and decided to fix it herself

Us with our pumpkins

Still the cutest pumpkin in the patch!
